What is an AI Art Generator?

An AI art generator uses sophisticated algorithms to generate unique and creative digital artwork. The tools can be used to design logos or graphics, produce stunning abstract imagery, generate ultra-realistic photos, or even generate animated videos and 3D models. AI art generators are opening up new possibilities for creative expression, allowing artists to create artwork that is more complex and intricate than they could ever achieve with traditional methods.

The potential of AI art generators is vast and growing every day. As technology continues to advance, more sophisticated algorithms will continue to improve the complexity of artwork that these generators can produce.

How Does it Work?

Generating an image with our AI image generator is a super-simple process:

1. Write a Prompt

In the subject box, describe the image you would like the image generator to create with as much or little detail as you’d like. In the example here, we have chosen to create an image of a monkey eating an apple.

2. Generate Your Image

Hit “Generate” and the tool will read your prompt and get to work generating your AI image in a matter of seconds.

3. Voila!

Hit “Download” to save your image. You can save your creations on your device, share your images on social media, and use your work in whichever ways you please.

AI is Already a Winner

In March 2023, the winning entry in the creative photo category of the Sony World Photography Awards was announced: a black-and-white image of an older woman embracing a younger one, entitled PSEUDOMNESIA: The Electrician. At the time, the press release announcing the win described the photograph as “haunting” and “reminiscent of the visual language of 1940s family portraits.”

But the artist, Berlin-based Boris Eldagsen, turned down the award. His photograph was not a photograph at all! He revealed he had created and refined it using an AI art generator. This revelation sparked controversy and conversation about when AI-generated images should be considered art.

AI is Generating Headlines

In March 2023, Donald Trump made headlines thanks to photos that showed him being arrested by New York Police Department. “BREAKING! Donald Trump has been arrested in Manhatten this morning” read one headline on a sizeable news outlet once the images began circulating.

However, there had been no arrest at that point. The images had in fact been created by an AI art generator and had been initially posted by Eliot Higgins, founder and creative director of investigative collective Bellingcat.
